THURSDAY...
* MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES...95 to 100 degrees Wednesday and
Thursday. The hottest temperatures will occur between 3 and 6
PM, and urban areas will be the warmest.
* MINIMUM TEMPERATURES...60 to 70 degrees, but nighttime cooling
will be slow. Temperatures will be around 80 degrees at 10 pm,
and not cool below 70 until at least 1 or 2 AM. The coolest
temperatures will occur around 5 AM, and it will be warmest in
urban areas.
* HEAT INDEX VALUES...It will feel like 98 to 102 degrees
outside.
* IMPACTS...The heat and humidity may cause heat stress,
especially with the limited relief at night. Heat stress is
also possible for livestock and outdoor pets.

FRIDAY...
* LOW TEMPERATURES...Tonight will offer little relief from the
heat, as low temperatures will generally be in the 60s. Urban
areas will struggle to get below 70 degrees tonight. Areas above
valley inversions, such as the Cascades and foothills, will
also be very warm tonight with lows 65 to 75 degrees.
* HIGH TEMPERATURES...Friday will see highs in the mid to upper
90s for the valleys and lower slopes of the foothills. Highs
will be in the mid to upper 80s at Cascade pass level.
* TIMING...The hottest part of this heat wave is over. However, it
will still be hot enough Friday for heat related illnesses to
occur, especially considering the cumulative effects of several
days of hot weather.
* IMPACTS...The elderly, people without access to air
conditioning, and anyone engaged in prolonged outdoor
activities will be be particularly vulnerable during this heat
episode. Local power demand is expected to be at high levels.
