The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for portions of Oregon and southeast
Washington, including the following areas, in Oregon,
Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon, Foothills
of the Southern Blue Mountains of Oregon, Northern Blue
Mountains of Oregon, and Southern Blue Mountains of Oregon. In
southeast Washington, Foothills of the Blue Mountains of
Washington and Northwest Blue Mountains.
* Until 1 PM PDT this afternoon
* Heavy rain has fallen over the Blue Mountains and the foothills.
The Heppner alert system has increased to a 3 for Shobe Canyon
and its headwaters.
* Mudslides and flood waters may block roads.

.Showers and thunderstorms will continue across portions of central
and eastern Oregon this evening. The storms are expected to be
slow moving providing one to three hours of heavy showers in some
areas.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* portions of central Oregon and northeast Oregon, including the
following areas, in central Oregon, John Day Basin and Ochoco-
John Day Highlands. In northeast Oregon, Southern Blue
Mountains of Oregon and Wallowa County.
* Until midnight PDT tonight
* Thunderstorms will continue across central and eastern Oregon
this evening and are expected to be slow moving and produce
heavy rain.
* Areas most prone to flash flooding include small creeks and
streams in steep terrain, wildfire burn scars, and normally
dry washes. Rock slides and debris/water flows over roadways
are possible in these areas.

* Thunderstorms will continue across central Oregon and are
expected to be slow moving and produce heavy rain.
* Areas most prone to flash flooding include small creeks and
streams in steep terrain, wildfire burn scars, and normally
dry washes. Rock slides and debris/water flows over roadways
are possible in these areas.
