  • Frost Advisory issued October 11 at 8:46PM PDT until October 12 at 9:00AM PDT by NWS
  • Effective: Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1 a.m.
  • Expires: Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11 a.m.
  • ...FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING...
...ANOTHER FROST WILL LIKELY OCCUR FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY
    MORNING...
.Clear skies and light winds will allow for excellent radiational
cooling tonight. This will lead to temperatures at or below
36 degrees for most of the area, and these temperatures often
bring frost. Therefore, a Frost Advisory has been issued.
Please note that similar temperatures will occur Friday night. It
is NWS policy to issue a Frost Advisory only for the first
widespread frost event. Therefore we will not issue another Frost
    Advisory for Friday night.
Even colder temperatures are expected Saturday night and Sunday
night. A freeze warning may be needed for Saturday night. Similar
to the policy for Frost Advisories, it is NWS policy to issue a
Freeze Warning for the first widespread freeze event only.
Finally, warmer temperatures are expected starting the middle of
next week and extending into the following week. If you choose to
protect your plants over the next several nights, chances are
they will be able to grow late into the month without additional
    protection.
...FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM MDT /9 AM PDT/
    FRIDAY...
    * TEMPERATURE...Widespread minimum temperatures at or below 36
degrees are forecast tonight into Friday morning.
    * IMPACTS...Sensitive plants will need to be protected if you
    wish them to continue growing.
