  • ...Hot temperatures 10 to 15 degrees above normal continue through
    Thursday...
    .A strong ridge of high pressure will continue to build over the
    region bringing highs well into the 90s to the triple digits
    along with warm overnight lows across the inland west side
    valleys and the high desert of Lake County.
    ...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PDT THIS EVENING...
    The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Heat
    Advisory...which is in effect until 9 PM PDT this evening.
    * Temperatures...Highs of 95 to 105 degrees today follow lows in
    the 60 to 65 degree range.
    * Locations include...The high desert areas of Lake County
    including Summer Lake, Paisley, Valley Falls, and Adel.
    * Impacts...Very hot daytime temperatures, mild overnight low
    temperatures, and wildfire smoke, will increase chances for heat
    related illness, especially for sensitive groups and people
    without access to air conditioning. Heat stress is also possible
    for livestock and outdoor pets. Smoke is likely to exacerbate
    heat related issues, especially for vulnerable populations.
