...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio, including the
following areas, in northern Indiana, Adams, Blackford, Cass
IN, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Miami, Wabash, Wells, and White.
In northwest Ohio, Allen OH, Putnam, and Van Wert.
* Through Sunday evening
* Rain will continue to overspread the watch area through this
afternoon. Pockets of heavy rainfall can be expected with some
of this falling on areas that have seen several inches of rain
over the past couple of days. This will increase the threat for
flash flooding, especially along and south of a Marion to Lima
line tonight, where 2 to 4 inches of rain is forecasted with
locally higher amounts. Total rainfall amounts are likely to
decrease rapidly with northwestward extent.
* Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour can cause rapid rises
in water in low lying areas as well as fast responding creeks
and streams.
