The Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, and West
Virginia, including the following areas, in northeast
Kentucky, Boyd, Carter, Greenup, and Lawrence KY. In southeast
Ohio, Athens, Gallia, Jackson OH, Lawrence OH, Meigs, Morgan,
Perry, Vinton, and Washington. In West Virginia, Barbour,
Boone, Braxton, Cabell, Calhoun, Clay, Doddridge, Gilmer,
Harrison, Jackson WV, Kanawha, Lewis, Lincoln, Logan, Mason,
Mingo, Pleasants, Putnam, Ritchie, Roane, Taylor, Tyler,
Upshur, Wayne, Wirt, and Wood.
* Through Monday evening
* Rain, heavy at times, persisting into Monday. A few
thunderstorms are also possible. Some streams are likely to rise
out of their banks and, in time, some mainstem rivers are likely
to go into flood. The Ohio River is likely to go into flood as
early as Monday morning, from Willow Island to nearly as far
south as Point Pleasant. Its tributaries, most notably the
Hocking, could also go into flood. The Muskingum may get close
to flood stage on Monday.
* Runoff from the heavy rain is likely to flood urban and other
poor drainage areas. Flooded streams and rivers are likely to
result in water over roads and into buildings.
