Patchy dense fog had developed throughout many valleys generally
west of the Blue Ridge. The fog has reduced the visibility along
parts of I-81 and I-77, including through Fancy Gap to less than
one mile.
As you drive through these sections of southwest Virginia and
northwest North Carolina, be prepared for rapidly changing
visibility from unlimited to near zero in spots. When driving in
these conditions reduce your speed, use low beam headlights, and
