At 949 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Salisbury to 9 miles southeast of Downtown
Concord to 5 miles southwest of Monroe, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported widespread tree damage as these
storms crossed the North Carolina Piedmont.
IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.
