    Western Rowan County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
    * Until 830 PM EDT Thursday.
    * At 225 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy tropical rain showers
    lingering across portions of the warned area. Excessive runoff
    from earlier heavy rain will continue as well, resulting in
    ongoing rising stream and river levels on many tributaries of the
    Yadkin River. Lingering areas of high water in urban areas will
    also be slow to recede this afternoon.
