...PATCHY DENSE FOG ACROSS THE FOOTHILLS AND PIEDMONT NORTH
CAROLINA INTO THE EASTERN UPSTATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA EARLY THIS
MORNING...
A moist and stable air mass at the surface has resulted in the
formation of low clouds and patchy dense fog early this morning.
The fog was reducing the visibility to between a quarter to one
mile across some areas. The patchy fog will linger through 9 AM
then slowly lift and dissipate.
Be on the lookout for sudden changes in visibility. Visibility
can drop quickly over short distances, especially near rivers,
lakes and other low-lying areas. Also, be especially cautious in
and near school zones and bus stops. Watch for flashing yellow or
red signals on school buses and be on the lookout for school
children.
