...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT
FOR PERSON AND DURHAM COUNTIES...
At 448 PM EDT, a line of damaging winds mixing south along the
western side of Michael were located along a line extending from
near Roxboro through 6 miles north of Durham to near Chapel Hill,
moving southeast at 45 mph. This line of winds has a history of
producing extensive wind damage to structures. A brief spinup
tornado also can`t be ruled out.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Durham, Chapel Hill, Roxboro, Rougemont, Concord, Lake Michie,
Gorman, Parkwood, Mayo Reservoir and Bahama.
A tornado watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for central North
Carolina.
