The Roanoke River Near Williamston.
* from Friday evening until further notice...or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 8 PM Thursday the stage was 11.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow evening and continue
to rise to near 12.5 feet by early Tuesday morning. Additional
rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...Many acres of farmland are flooded. Water
will begin to reach some secondary roads near the river.
