...HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS ALL BEACHES FRIDAY...
.Tropical Storm Michael will move off the VA coast tonight, and
strong wind gusts will be gradually diminishing late tonight and
early Friday morning. High swell energy, onshore winds, and high
astronomical tides will result in a high risk of rip currents
again on Friday. The high risk of rip currents will wane by the
weekend as Michael exits the region.
...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM EDT FRIDAY...
* LOCATIONS...Areas adjacent to the Pamlico Sound and the
Pamlico and Pungo Rivers.
* TIDAL DEPARTURE...Up to 2 feet above ground level.
* TIMING...tonight.
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Minor flooding for areas adjacent to the
Pamlico Sound and the Pamlico and Pungo Rivers. A few roads
could become impassable.
