    .Although steady rainfall is gradually tapering off from the west
    this morning, high water conditions continue in many locations
    across the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia. The Flood
    Watch will be maintained through daybreak.
    ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST THIS MORNING...
    The Flood Watch continues for
    * portions of northeast Georgia, North Carolina, and upstate
    South Carolina, including the following areas, in northeast
    Georgia, Franklin, Habersham, Hart, Rabun, and Stephens. In
    North Carolina, Alexander, Avery, Buncombe, Burke Mountains,
    Caldwell Mountains, Eastern McDowell, Eastern Polk, Graham,
    Greater Burke, Greater Caldwell, Greater Rutherford, Haywood,
    Henderson, Macon, Madison, McDowell Mountains, Mitchell,
    Northern Jackson, Polk Mountains, Rutherford Mountains,
    Southern Jackson, Swain, Transylvania, and Yancey. In upstate
    South Carolina, Anderson, Greater Greenville, Greater Oconee,
    Greater Pickens, Greenville Mountains, Oconee Mountains,
    Pickens Mountains, and Spartanburg.

    * The threat of heavy rainfall continues to gradually end from the
    west early this morning, but high water conditions persist along
    many streams and main stem rivers. Morning showers could add an
    additional one-half inch to rainfall totals within the Watch
    area.
    * Many rivers and streams are running at elevated levels from the
    recent rainfall, and flooding will continue in some areas well
    beyond the expiration of the Flood Watch.
