CLEVELAND AND SOUTHEASTERN BURKE COUNTIES UNTIL 430 PM EDT...
At 344 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm with intense
lightning and torrential rainfall 14 miles southeast of Morganton, or
6 miles northeast of Casar, moving east at 20 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Hickory, Lincolnton, Newton, Longview, Maiden, Icard, Hildebran,
Belwood, Casar and Hickory Regional Airport.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph, pea size hail and torrential rainfall rates
up to 3 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.
