* LOCATION...Beaches along the Atlantic coast of Maryland and
Virginia.
* TIMING...Tidal flooding is expected through Midnight tonight,
and may have to be extended out further in time. The high risk
for rip currents continues through Monday, and may need to be
extended through midweek. High surf is expected into Monday
morning.
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Widespread flooding of vulnerable
areas will result in an elevated threat of property damage to
homes and businesses near the waterfront and shoreline. Water
will be 1 to 2 feet above ground level in some areas resulting
in a sufficient depth to close numerous roads and threaten
homes and businesses. Flooding will extend inland from the
waterfront along tidal rivers and bays resulting in some road
closures and flooding of vehicles.
* RIP CURRENT RISK...High.
* SURF ZONE IMPACTS...Breaking waves around 8 feet will be
dangerous to anyone who enters the surf.
