...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of north central Illinois and northeast Illinois,
including the following areas, in north central Illinois,
Boone, DeKalb, La Salle, Lee, Ogle, and Winnebago. In
northeast Illinois, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake IL, and
McHenry.
* Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon
* Heavy rain producing thunderstorms are likely over northern
Illinois this morning. Given that numerous thunderstorms may
track over the same locations, significant rainfall amounts of
over 2 inches, and locally, up to 4 inches, remain possible
across a portion of northern IL this morning.
* Expect additional rises on area rivers, particularly the Rock,
Pecatonica and Fox River basins. Portions of these rivers are
already above flood stage or are close to flood stage and this
rainfall will worsen river conditions.
