The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, and western
Kentucky, including the following areas, in southern Illinois,
Alexander, Edwards, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin,
Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Massac, Perry IL, Pope, Pulaski,
Saline, Union, Wabash, Wayne IL, White, and Williamson. In
southwest Indiana, Gibson, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh,
and Warrick. In western Kentucky, Ballard, Crittenden,
Henderson, Livingston, McCracken, Union KY, and Webster.
* Through Sunday morning
* The remnants of Tropical System Gordon will result in heavy
rainfall today and this evening across the watch area. Moderate
to locally heavy rain will continue to occur today across
southern Illinois, and eventually into southwestern Indiana and
the adjacent Ohio river counties of Kentucky. Storm total
rainfall on average will range from 2 to around 6 inches.
* Heavy rainfall will result in flooding of low lying or poor
drainage areas...and ultimately flooding on smaller creeks and
streams. Significant rises on larger streams and rivers will
also be possible.
