...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR HALL...NORTHWESTERN JACKSON AND
NORTHEASTERN FORSYTH COUNTIES UNTIL 630 PM EDT...
At 554 PM EDT...a strong thunderstorm was near Talmo, or 7 miles
southeast of Gainesville...moving west at 30 mph.
HAZARD...30 to 40 mph wind and heavy rain.
IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
light...unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.
Some locations in the path of this storm include
Gainesville, Jefferson, Flowery Branch, Oakwood, Pendergrass,
Gillsville, Talmo, Candler, Aqualand Park, Chestatee, Chestnut
Mountain, Oscarville, Road Atlanta-Lanier Speedway and Lake Lanier
Islands.

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. Motorists should
slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.
