...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM EDT FOR
WESTERN CATOOSA...CENTRAL WALKER AND DADE COUNTIES...
At 425 PM EDT, National Weather Service radar indicated a strong
thunderstorm developing oveer Dade and northern Walker county. Even
though many creeks and streams have fallen, additional rainfall may
cause these smaller creeks and streams to rise again. Larger creeks
and rivers will also continue to see rises from runoff from earlier
heavy rainfall.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chattanooga, Lafayette, Trenton, Fort Oglethorpe, Rossville,
Chickamauga, Lookout Mountain, Blue Spring, Fairview, Linwood,
Chattanooga Valley, Cloudland Canyon State Park, Hooker, Cooper
Heights, Rock Spring, Naomi, Rising Fawn, Noble, Lakeview and Cole
City.
