Alderman Pat Dowell Bid For The 1st Congressional Seat

Alderman Pat Dowell, joined "Conversations With The Citizen" today to discuss her bid for the 1st Congressional Seat. Dowell who is experienced with a proven track record in local government already and will go to work day one. Dowell says her candidacy is intentional and she will work for the people in the 1st District when elected the First Black Women to hold that seat. Charise Williams 1st Congressional District Candidate

1st Congressional District Candidate Charise Williams Joined "Conversations with the Citizen" to discuss her run for the soon to be vacant seat of Retiring Congressman Bobby L. Rush. Charise, a working mother and South Side native who was raised by an educator and U.S. Marine Veteran. As the elected representative for the district, Charise says she will work to bring resources to the district. She will be accountable and transparent to the people of the district. Diane Latiker, founder of Kids Off the Block, started off taking the friends of her youngest daughter on trips. Then, she opened her doors to them. Now, Kids Off the Block is an organization that helps young people with resources and Latiker provides a listening ear.

Terrell Bosley Anti Violence Association

Conversations with the Citizen welcomed Pamela Bosley, Founder of the Terrell Bosley Anti Violence Association to the show. Pamela came to discuss how she turned Pain into Purpose after loosing her son to the streets of Chicago Violence. It is Bosley's hope to be able to use her voice, her organization and their resources to help curve violence during this upcoming Summer Season.

Ernest Dawkins

Chicago's Jazz Musician Ernest Dawkins joined us in the studio to talk about how he acquired his love for the Music Genre of Jazz. He had a gift for recognizing music talents in younger musicians. Dawkins even teaching musical lessons in the City free to the residence. Dawkins encourage people to make donations to the Arts and Musical Cultural. He see's a coalition between the absence of music and arts in schools which he feels impact individual choices and creates increase crime. In other words the youth lacks alternatives. Margaret Murphy-Webb of The South Side Jazz Coalition

Margaret Murphy-Webb joined "Conversation With The Citizen" today to talk about her organizations plans to bring back a normalcy to Live Entertainment goers. Murphy- Webb is hopeful that Jazzin on the Steps and other Live shows will show up in your community this Spring and Summer. Margaret Murphy-Webb is a singer and arts agitator who is the co-founder and executive director of the South Side Jazz Coalition.
