Artist Bianca Shaw

"Conversation with the Citizen," welcomes Artist Bianca Shaw to the show. Bianca is a local Artist from the West Side of the Chi. She have performed with some of Chicago's own Rapper "Twister". Bianca's love for music started at an early age. She recalls the time when her and her sister would go in the families basement and perform Christian Rock while others would listen to your traditional versions of gospel music. She wrote her first rap at age 11. Bianca can be seen in a Facebook post beating her percussions like the great "Sheila E".

Illinois State Representative LaShawn Ford

Illinois State Representative LaShawn Ford, (8th District) sat down with "Conversations With The Citizen" host Tia C. Jones to talk about his latest health scare and final diagnosis's with Prostate Cancer. During the interview Ford talked about the importance of building a relationship with your healthcare provider and not being afraid to go to the doctor. Ford mentioned that the deadline to enroll in the state healthcare benefit (Medicaid) was quickly approaching. He encouraged persons who were unemployed to consider taking advantage of the Medical benefits that President Obama implemented during his time in office.

Dr. Angela L. Swain

"Conversations With The Citizen", Welcomes Dr. Angela. L Swain to the show. Dr. Swain sat down to chat with us about her book and the services that she provides to business owners and individual entrepreneurs. Dr. Swain is the Author of "Kitchen Table Talks With Dad. In addition to being an author, she is a Professional Certified Coach and Business Psychologist. Dr. Swain, also shared a short story about how her co-author and Father-In-Law the late John Swain, owner of Kimbark Liquors in Hyde Park was to help write the book prior to passing away. Dr. Swain was deeply touched by John relocation to Chicago with only $200.00 dollars in his pocket. Dr. Swain will host a book signing in August and she is very excited. A signing date is yet to be released.

The Village of Robbins Newly Elected Mayor Darren Bryant

"Conversations With The Citizen' welcomed Robbins Mayor Darren Bryant, to the show. Mayor Bryant sat down for a chat with the Citizen to talk about what he has done in the short period since taking office in May. Mayor Bryant says he has plans for the Village but he needs to first fill some administration positions before he can get to implementing plans. Mayor Bryant made history in Illinois when he was sworn in recently. Bryant became the youngest person in Illinois History to hold a position as Mayor.

Kelly Fair-Polished Pebbles

Kelly Fair, CEO of Polished Pebbles joined "Conversations With The Citizen" recently to discuss her book "Every Girl is a CEO". Kelly talked about what inspired the organization and what has kept it growing since its inception.

Kwame Akoto Bamfo

Kwame Akoto Bamfo, joined us at "Conversations With The Citizen", all the way from Ghana Africa. Kwame was in Chicago to unveil a powerful works of art at the DuSable Museum. The art makes its debute honoring "Juneteeth. The Artist shared what inspired him to do the piece. Kwame has been an artist since the age of 3. He stated that the statue/sculpture depict a vision for him of "This to shall pass. The sculpture symbolizes the human struggles of many Blacks. If you see the works you will walk away visualizing what "George Floyd endured, The Police brutality experienced by an American Solider who was buying gas and finally the vision of protest surrounding the unrest. The art is currently touring the country and perhaps it will show up in a city or state near you.

"Conversations With The Citizen", welcome Joe Hamernick to the show. Joel along with is wife are the founders of "Sunshine Enterprises. Joel's organization severs to seek community renewal on the South and West Sides of the city through a Holistic approach.
