Today, Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton, Congressman Chuy García, Chicago City Clerk Anna Valencia, 48th Ward Alderwoman Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth, and representatives from the Service Employees International Union, and Illinois Federation of Teachers gathered in Daley Plaza to send a clear message: MAGA money will not decide Illinois’ next Senator. The emergency press conference was called in response to news that a crypto industry super PAC, backed by MAGA donors, is launching a multi-million dollar smear campaign against Juliana in an effort to boost Raja Krishnamoorthi’s stalled campaign.
