OVER 5000 MOTHERS AND EXPECTING MOTHERS ATTENDED WORLD’S LARGEST BABY SHOWER IN RICH TOWNSHIP

MOTHERS RECEIVED CAR SEATS, STROLLERS, DIAPERS, BABY WIPES, CLOTHES, AND THOUSANDS OF OTHER BABY ITEMS

Matteson Mayor Sheila Chalmers-Currin and Rich Township Supervisor Calvin Jordan teamed up to host the 1st Annual World’s Largest Baby Shower in the Southland last weekend that drew over 5000 attendees. The event was hosted by the In His Hands Resource Center in Collaboration with The Village of Matteson and Rich Township. The premier baby extravaganza took place on Saturday, May 4th, at the Matteson Community Center (Oakwood)in Matteson. With support from major sponsors, including Black Men United, Cradle to Crayon, and Midwest Foods, the World’s Largest Baby Shower a monumental event benefiting so many families
