Calumet City is thrilled to announce the imminent arrival of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) to assist local residents in jumpstarting their recovery efforts in the aftermath of the September 17 - 18 storms and flooding. The establishment of a FEMA Disaster Recovery Center marks a significant step towards aiding the affected communities, with the first center set to open its doors on Friday, December 1. This inaugural center is the pioneer of several others slated for opening in the near future, and their respective dates and locations will be communicated promptly once finalized.
