Equity and Transformation wants to build Black equity

A local nonprofit is working to create Black equity through programs that provide financial resources for people who are often left out of most guaranteed income programs. Equity and Transformation in Chicago was founded by Richard Wallace in 2018, with the goal of uplifting the voices of Black people in Chicago who participate in the informal economy – economic activities, enterprises, jobs, and workers that are not regulated or protected by the state.
