Lawndale dignitaries showed their support, including left to right: Congressman Danny Davis, Townsend, actress Tressa Thomas, ICE co-owner Alisa Starks, BETs Louis Carr, ICE co-owner Donzell Starks, and Cook County Commissioner Robert Steele. State Rep. Arthur L. Turner, newly-elected 24th Ward Ald. Michael Chandler, The History Makers Julianna Richardson, and Dr. Carol Adams of DuSable Museum also were among the attendees.
