Darren Bryant, President of the Village of Robbins, has been named 2023 Mayor of the Year by From the Roof Down Organization. Bryant accepted the award during the community organization’s 2023 Community Service Award Gala in December.

American College of Lifestyle Medicine commits over $2 million to train physicians who provide care to patients disproportionately at-risk for chronic disease

The American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) announced the Lifestyle Medicine National Training Initiative (NTI), a commitment of more than $2 million in matching funds to train and certify, at minimum, one physician in lifestyle medicine within each Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and Community Health Center (CHC) across the United States. The scholarship effort, which includes partnerships with national and community-based organizations including the first impact partner, the American Council on Exercise (ACE), will expand access to lifestyle medicine in historically under-resourced communities.

Sif Itona Westerberg: Twin Flame, Double Ruin is on view at the Driehaus Museum, 40 E. Erie, from February 15 to April 14, 2024.
