He was studying to be a pharmacist, and learning learned skills in time management and organization that helped him as an entrepreneur. During a trip to California, Smith met someone who he believes God sent to him who changed his life. Play Street Museum To Open In South Loop
Crystal Allen’s opening of the Play Street Museum has been a work in progress for three years. Allen, who lives on the South side, was looking for fun and educational activities for her daughter to do and the places were mostly in the suburbs. She didn’t think she should have to drive an hour outside the city for activities.

On Election Day next Tuesday, residents of the Village of Maywood can do what no oversight authority or state agency established to protect Illinois residents from mismanagement has stepped up to do. By voting yes for a referendum to consolidate two entities that manage parks in the village, they can stop the poorly managed Maywood Park District, an authority independent of the village, from wasting nearly $800,000 a year of taxpayers' dollars that have produced no programs or community-wide events.

Latest Chicago Public Schools Data Show Increases in Enrollment and School Staffing
Chicago Public Schools (CPS) released its enrollment figures for the 20th day of the 2024-25 school year. The data shows another year of increased enrollment in the District along with climbing attendance rates across all grades. Student enrollment data is now available on the District's website as well as a new dashboard that shows exponential progress in staffing across CPS to best serve growing student needs and enrollment.
