The third annual GhanAgain Music Festival kicks off Saturday morning in the Austin neighborhood. The festival will feature a variety of music including afrobeats, jazz, blues, gospel, hip hop, house, reggae, and spoken word. A variety of food, including Caribbean and Jamaican cuisine, will be available. African art will also be on display and available for purchase.
Disaster Recovery Center Opens to Serve Communities in the Southside of Chicago
A FEMA Disaster Recovery Center will open on Thursday, Sept . 7 in the Pullman area to help residents in nearby Chatham, Avalon Park and surrounding communities in the city of Chicago’s South Side to kickstart their recovery after the June 29 – July 2 storms and flooding.
