Disney100: The Exhibition opened on Saturday, Nov. 18th, at 2367 W. Logan Blvd.
Disney100: The Exhibition features artifacts, memorabilia, props, artifacts and costumes from the Disney archives. There also are interactive installations, with audio and visual components.
The exhibition has 10 themed galleries that shares the story of Walt Disney and how his philosophies he developed still inform everything that is done at the Walt Disney Company.

The Woodlawn Central Master Plan was created as a part of a 2060 Plan by J. Byron Brazier. The plan was approved by the City of Chicago Department of Planning and Development. Brazier took some time to speak with the Citizen Newspaper and give an update on the progress of the plan.
Music filled the headquarters on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving as young people and team members from the LUV Institute decorated wreaths. Wreaths of LUV has become an annual tradition for the organization. The decorated wreaths are sold to individuals, businesses and other organizations to be placed at homes, storefronts and along streets during the holiday season.
A former roller-skating rink is getting a second life for use as a multipurpose structure for School District 162. The 23,000 square foot Annex is located at 4645 Sauk Trail in Richton Park. The Matteson School District consists of seven elementary schools and the Southland College Prep Charter High School.
Mayor Brandon Johnson announced the appointment of esteemed public health leader Dr. Olusimbo “Simbo” Ige, MD, MS, MPH to serve as Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH). Dr. Ige is currently the Managing Director of Programs at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and has previously served as the Assistant Commissioner for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
