NAMI Chicago Named One of Chicago’s  Best and Brightest  Companies to Work For for Third Year in a Row

CHICAGO — NAMI Chicago has been named one of Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® in 2026, marking the third year in a row the organization has received the recognition.

NAMI Chicago has worked to strengthen the employee experience by developing a mission aligned people strategy that connects recognition, employee wellness, belonging, onboarding and employee feedback. Rather than approaching these areas as separate initiatives, we are building an integrated HR framework designed to reinforce our values, support the well-being of our team, improve retention, and help employees see how their daily work connects to the broader mission of mental health advocacy.

“Being recognized for the third year in a row is a reflection of the people behind NAMI Chicago’s mission,” said Alison Bouchard, Chief Operating Officer at NAMI Chicago. “Our staff support people and families through some of their hardest moments, and they deserve a workplace where they feel valued, supported, and connected. We are proud to continue building a culture where care, belonging, and shared purpose are part of how we work every day.”

Presented by the National Association for Business Resources, the award recognizes companies that demonstrate strong employee engagement, innovative human resource practices, and a commitment to workplace excellence. Winning organizations are evaluated by an independent research firm across several categories, including benefits, wellness and wellbeing, employee enrichment and retention, education and development, communication and shared vision, inclusion, work-life blend, community responsibility, and leadership.

NAMI Chicago serves more than 40,000 people each year through crisis support, care coordination, education, outreach, and advocacy. Earlier this month, the organization was also named a 2026 Gold recipient of Mental Health America’s Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health.
