Chicago Women’s Conference Returns to South Suburban College with Day of Empowerment, Breakout Sessions, Fashion Show, and STAR Awards Nominations Now Open
South Holland, IL – South Suburban College (SSC) will host its Annual Chicago Women’s Conference on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 9:00am, at SSC’s main campus located at 15800 S. State St., South Holland, IL 60429. The highly anticipated event will bring together women from across the region for a full day of inspiration, education, networking, and celebration.
This year’s conference will feature an exciting lineup of breakout sessions covering topics such as personal empowerment, health and wellness, and business and finance, providing attendees with practical tools and expert insights to support both personal and professional growth. Guests will also enjoy the conference’s annual fashion show, along with a lively vendor marketplace offering shopping opportunities, local businesses, and community resources.
As part of the celebration, the Women’s Conference Committee is currently seeking nominations for the 2026 STAR Awards, which recognize the accomplishments of extraordinary women and encourage others to shine as leaders in their communities.
The STAR Awards honor women in two categories:
- Alumni STAR Award – Presented to an outstanding South Suburban College (Thornton Junior College) alumnus for notable achievements
- Community STAR Award – Recognizing women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in business, community, and/or education
Nominations are now open, and the application deadline is Friday, March 6, 2026. Award recipients are expected to attend the conference and will be recognized during the event.
