The City of Calumet City welcomed hundreds of residents, families, first responders, and community partners for a successful National Night Out celebration that united the community for an evening of entertainment, neighborhood engagement, and public safety awareness. Held as part of the nationwide National Night Out initiative, the annual celebration showcased Calumet City's ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships between residents and the City's Police Department, Fire Department, Public Works Department, and other community partners. Throughout the evening, attendees had the opportunity to meet local first responders, engage with City officials, and learn more about the services that help keep Calumet City safe and thriving.


The event featured an exciting lineup of family-friendly activities, including free snow cones, face painting, bouncy houses, inflatable slides, and complimentary food. Residents of all ages enjoyed an evening filled with laughter, fellowship, and opportunities to build stronger connections with their neighbors.


“National Night Out represents the very best of Calumet City because it brings our residents, families, businesses, and first responders together as one community. Events like this strengthen trust, encourage meaningful relationships, and remind us that public safety is a shared responsibility.
