Medical Spa Offers Welcoming Atmosphere And Promotes Health and Wellness
By Tia Carol Jones
A new medical facility on the South side of Chicago is offering its clients medical, health and wellness services, in an atmosphere intended to provide comfort.
Dr. Nakita Cloud, a Certified Integrative Functional Medicine Practitioner, said she was inspired to open the Cloud Med Aging & Regenerative Institute because of her father who suffered from dementia and passed away in August 2024. She said after she passed away, she wanted to dedicate her life to ensuring that no one else would have to go through what he went through when it came to health and wellness. She wants people to be more proactive about their health; therefore, she set out to create an environment that was welcoming for people to come and get their medical needs met.
The Cloud Med Aging & Regenerative Institute, located at 1810 W. 99th St., in the city’s Beverly neighborhood, opened in February 2026. Cloud had been working on the space since August 2025. In addition to traditional services found during a regular doctor’s appointment, people can also receive a skin analysis, foot soak, and partake in the oxygen bar. Cloud said the majority of the patients at Cloud Med are highly functioning adults or senior citizens who are looking to live longer.
To give Cloud Med a more spa-like feel, guests are greeted at the door with a lavender mocktail. There is an oxygen bar, which is meant to make the guests feel more relaxed prior to receiving their services, as is the foot soak. After that, people can partake in the sauna dome.
There is an assortment of IV treatments that people can get. People can also get their immunizations done at Cloud Med. There is a telehealth appointment component for people who might not be able to come in but still require medical services. Cloud Med has a medical director, Elizabeth Chandler Williams, who oversees Cloud Med, as well as two registered nurses, three patient care coordinators and an esthetician.
“There’s always a wow factor when people come in,” she said. “They say, it smells so good in here, and it’s such a positive environment. They also say the place is pretty.”
To engage the community and bring awareness to the services provided at Cloud Med, the space hosts intentional events. This can include a night where people come and learn more about peptides, or events where people learn about the health benefits of wine. Cloud Med is set to host an event where there will be a partnership with Mercedes-Benz for a Mercedes VIP wellness experience.
Cloud said she is changing the way people perceive and receive medical care. She said she is excited and has so many more ideas about how people can engage with health and wellness. She said Cloud Med is just the start of her vision to change the way people receive healthcare services and engage with medical professionals.
