NOMINATIONS EXTENDED: Illinois Caregiver Awards Now Open Through December 7
Illinois Women Conquer ALZ and the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter announced today that nominations for the annual Caregiver Awards have been extended by one week, giving the public additional time to honor outstanding caregivers across the state. The new deadline for submissions is December 7, 2025.
The awards highlight the remarkable dedication of individuals who support people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. This year, two caregivers will be recognized for their extraordinary service:
- One Family & Friend Caregiver
- One Paid Professional Caregiver
The Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter say the extension aims to ensure that more families, colleagues, and community members have the opportunity to recognize the compassion, resilience, and daily sacrifices made by caregivers throughout Illinois.
“We’re thrilled to keep nominations open a little longer so we can shine an even brighter light on the incredible individuals who give so much of themselves,” said Ryan Jameson, Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter, Events Manager.
Award recipients will be notified in January 2026 and formally celebrated at the Power of Purple: A Reason to Hope Luncheon on March 12, 2026, held at the Fairmont – Millennium Park.
Community members are encouraged to take part in acknowledging these essential caregivers by submitting a nomination.
