COOK COUNTY – Today, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County Mariyana Spyropoulos hosted “Navigating the Cook County Justice System” with Cook County Commissioners Scott Britton, Kevin Morrison and Maggie Trevor at Harper College in Palatine.
The event focused on educating residents about how to move through the Cook County Justice System and featured key countywide agencies. The resource fair included the Cook County Justice Advisory Council, Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, Cook County Public Defender’s Office, Cook County Sheriff’s Office and the Office of the Chief Judge. Representatives from select legal aid and community organizations were also in attendance.
“A justice system is only as strong as the public’s ability to navigate it,” said Clerk Spyropoulos. “When residents are equipped with knowledge, they gain dignity, agency and the confidence to advocate for themselves.”
Events like today’s reinforce the shared commitment across county agencies to make information clear and accessible for all residents. By bringing resources together in one place, the Clerk’s Office, under the leadership of Clerk Spyropoulos, is helping ensure that individuals and families can engage with the justice system with clarity.
