Black McDonald’s Operators Association Hosts 25th Annual Food for the Body & Spirit Turkey Giveaway Across Chicago and Suburbs

The Black McDonald’s Operators Association (BMOA) of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana proudly returns with its annual Food for the Body & Spirit initiative, supporting thousands of Chicago veterans and families during the holiday season. Now in its 25th year, the event kicked off on Veteran’s Day, Tuesday, November 11, and continues through November 15 at five McDonald’s locations.

Amid rising food prices and cuts to assistance programs, many families face challenges affording enough food. BMOA remains committed to providing nourishment and essential resources to those in need across Chicago’s west and south sides and the south suburbs.

This year, 3,000 turkeys — along with baked goods from Lewis Bakeries and gift cards for additional food essentials — will be distributed. Veterans can access VIP line entry upon presenting proof of military service. Each event begins at 8:00 a.m. and lasts while supplies remain.

2025 Food for the Body & Spirit Schedule and Locations:

Nov. 12 – 7900 S. Martin Luther King Drive, Chicago, IL

Nov. 13 – 1637 W. 95th St., Chicago, IL

Nov. 14 – 14702 Dixie Hwy, Harvey, IL

Nov. 15 – 19767 S. Halsted St., Chicago, IL

BMOA members continue their tradition of community support by delivering food and hope to those impacted by economic hardships during the holidays.
