“We are all so impressed by not only the enormous hard work in which Mayor Curry has performed, but the extraordinary success she has displayed in how she interacts with her Board of Trustees. Lynwood is now an excellent model of how Village Boards should operate and conduct themselves before the public. I am utterly amazed at how much has been achieved in just four years. Kudos to Mayor Curry, the Village Clerk, and the Board of Trustees.” says Cook County Clerk Monica Gordon.

Since becoming mayor, she has also stepped into additional national and regional leadership roles. She currently serves as the Regional Director for the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (NBC-LEO) as well as Vice President of the Illinois Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (IBC-LEO). She has a keen sense of how municipalities should operate but moreover, the mayor has been a pillar of strength and encouragement to the residents and employees. I am extremely proud of her and the entire Village Board for their numerous accomplishments in just four short years.”

The mayor is also supporting a group of current board members and one community leader that are all well deserving of being re-elected and elected..
