Target Area Launches “Caring Hearts” Giving Campaign to Uplift Englewood
Chicago, Ill. — Love isn’t just a feeling—it’s an action. That’s why Target Area Development Corporation is proud to launch the “Caring Hearts” Giving Campaign, running now through the end of February. This initiative is a call to inspire support for the people and programs driving change in the Englewood community.
Guided by our core values of *C.A.R.E—Community, Advocacy, Respect, and Empowerment—* the “Caring Hearts” Giving Campaign celebrates the resilience and strength of Englewood while inviting everyone to be part of the solution. More than just a fundraising effort, this campaign is about standing in solidarity with a community that has long worked to overcome systemic challenges like gun violence and disinvestment on Chicago’s South Side.
Last year, Target Area impacted over 10,000 community members through monthly 'Light in the Night' events, the Target Area Boutique (a free clothing program), re-entry programs, violence intervention initiatives, and youth mentoring efforts. By fostering unity, healing, and growth, Target Area empowers individuals and families, creating opportunities for education and progress—work made possible by the generous support of people like you.
“Through the ‘Caring Hearts’ Campaign, we’re bringing our values of C.A.R.E to life by investing in the people and programs that make Englewood stronger,” said Tamera Stanford, Manager of Training and Development. “We’re showing that we care through action, stepping up for our neighbors in need, and creating a legacy of care.”
