CHICAGO, IL -- The Waffle Lounge, a Black-female owned, family-friendly, community-rooted brunch restaurant, located at 7433 S. State Street, recently hosted its official grand opening.

The Waffle Lounge blends comfort food, creative brunch culture, and elevated service to redefine the neighborhood brunch experience. Guests can expect signature waffles in multiple styles, breakfast mocktails, grab-worthy plates, and a warm, modern design that celebrates community, conversation, and culture.

“The Waffle Lounge was created to feel like home — the kind of place where you can enjoy breakfast without rushing, catch up with friends, or make memories with family,” said Founder Rami Brown. “We’re proud to open a space in Chatham that feels joyful, inclusive, and delicious. Designed as a “third place” for the neighborhood, The Waffle Lounge features:

The restaurant hosted a pre-opening soft launch earlier this month, drawing enthusiastic response from invited guests, local food lovers, and community residents. All ticketed preview events quickly sold out.
