(Matteson, IL) Matteson Mayor Sheila Chalmers-Currin and Rich Township Supervisor Calvin Jordan have teamed up to host the 1st Annual World’s Largest Baby Shower in the Southland this weekend. The event is hosted by the In His Hands Resource Center in Collaboration with The Village of Matteson and Rich Township. The premier baby extravaganza will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 10 am at The Matteson Community Center (Oakwood). The Location is 4450 Oakwood Lane, Matteson, IL 60443. With support from major sponsors, including Black Men United, Cradle to Crayon, and Midwest Foods, the World’s Largest Baby Shower promises to be a monumental event benefiting the community.
Attendees can expect to receive car seats, strollers, diapers, toys, clothes, and other baby essentials while supplies last. The event will also feature a diverse array of vendors and resources catering to the needs of expectant mothers and families.

This event underscores our commitment to supporting expectant mothers and families in the Southland area. The World’s Largest Baby Shower is open to all expectant mothers and families in need. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as items will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

We are hopeful that these resources will be of great assistance and comfort to these mothers.” Says Supervisor Calvin Jordan.
