Museum of Science and Industry Unveils 2024 STEAM Camps: Now Open for Registration with New Age Groups
CHICAGO – The Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) announced the opening of registrations for its exhilarating day and week-long camps, taking place during holidays, Saturdays Spring break, and the summer. This year, MSI introduces an exciting expansion, welcoming younger explorers from Kindergarten through 12th grade to join the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) adventure! From 3D printing in our Fab Labs, to going behind-the-scenes of MSI’s newest and iconic exhibits, there is something for every young explorer to enjoy.
Key Highlights:
Single-Day Camps on School Holidays: Engaging middle school youth (6th-8th grade) in STEAM-related topics and careers through hands-on experiences. Dates include February 9 (Engineering Design), February 19 (Heart Science), and May 27 (Earth and Space Science).
Four-Week Saturday Camps (April 2024): Dive into the Wanger Family Fab Lab on Saturday mornings (grades K-3) and afternoons (grades 4-6) with hands-on activities, fostering creativity and motor skills.
Spring Break Camps (March 18–22, March 25–29): Middle schoolers can enjoy a VIP experience with Fab-tastic Spring (grades 4-6) and Spring Has Sprung! (grades 6-8) exploring biomimicry and engineering concepts.
Summer Camps (June 24–August 12): Beat the heat and summer brain drain with week-long experiences for grades K-12. Explore interdisciplinary activities bridging science, art, and engineering, creating a memorable summer of learning and fun.
