Discover’s 4th Orange Table Talk Was a Successful Fusion of Networking Genius and Business Dialogue

Chicago, IL – [January 23, 2024] – On January 19th, a dynamic collaboration with Discover and the Discover Global Network, joined 75 of the most innovative and diverse entrepreneurs in Chicago for an exclusive gathering, as part of the much-anticipated 4th installment of Discover’s Orange Table Talk series at the Bronzeville Winery.

Moderated and Cohosted by Kim Dass, Executive Relationship Manager at Discover Global Network, and Heidi Pearson, Veteran Communications Leader and Business Strategist.

Emceed by seasoned business coach and Founder of the Black Mall, Cassiopeia Sledge, the event, which took place in the heart of Chicago’s vibrant South Side, was aimed at fostering meaningful connections and discussions among the city's robust entrepreneurial community. The local gem Bronzeville Winery provided the perfect backdrop for this intimate and engaging session.
Chief Event Producer, Alicia August-Wright, worked with local black-owned businesses to curate an elevated brunch-style experience complete with signature mocktails and cocktails along with Bronzeville Winery’s fan-favorite menu items.

A truly unparalleled and reimagined networking experience, the lesson-filled luncheon was not just about business card hand-offs; rather, it was an immersive meeting of the minds featuring an impromptu business pitching session prompted by Pearson. Panelists included disruptors such as Nicole Mins of Savvy Creations, Patrice N. Perkins of Creative Genius Law, Corie Luckett of Englewood Branded and Dave Jeff of PHLI as well as words from Bronzeville winery owners, Cecilia Cuff & Eric Williams who shared their ever-evolving experiences as Chicago restaurateurs, and their intentional use of minority vintners and female artisans to outfit the space. Panelists delved deep into the power of relationships, and strategies for leveraging capabilities and expanding reach, providing invaluable takeaways for everyone present. And the crowd still wanted more!
