CTA’s Diversity Program Hosts 1st Quarter Outreach Meet-and-Greet with Prime Contractors for Upcoming Projects
Business leaders from small and/or disadvantaged businesses are invited to meet with potential prime contractors and learn how they can partner on CTA construction projects.
The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is inviting certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) and small businesses interested in certification to attend an event Thursday, February 15 at Wright College in the city’s northwest side. DBE leaders can learn about subcontracting opportunities for many of CTA’s transformational projects, such as the Red Line Extension (RLE), the All Stations Accessible Program (ASAP), the rehabilitation of the Western Brown Line Station and the multi-phased Forest Park Branch Rebuild.
Thursday’s event is the latest in a series of measures taken by the CTA to extend contracting opportunities to help foster equity and economic growth in the communities it serves:
February 15, 2024 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Registration: https://rb.gy/r7c9r7
CTA will continue to host additional outreach events leading up to the start of project work and throughout the project to encourage participation by DBE-certified firms and other small businesses that wish to participate in the project. CTA also hosts various outreach events to connect career-seekers with resources and opportunities in the construction industry.
Anyone with questions about the event can contact CTA’s Diversity Programs at diversity@transitchicago.com
