(Chicago, IL) Michael Eaddy-Senior Pastor of the People’s Church of Harvest C.O.G.I.C, along with First Lady Christine Eaddy.- will lead a coalition of Elected Officials, Community Leaders and Church members in distributing over 500 children toys, computers, and bikes for the Christmas holidays. This is the 34th Annual event in which the People's Church of the Harvest has provided joy and smiles to hundreds of children whose families are experiencing tough times. This year's distribution will target the Learn Charter School in North Lawndale and the area youth.

This year the church has witnessed an increase of requests for Christmas gifts from families negatively impacted by the nation's economy.

“It’s painfully clear that the nation's inflation has stifled many families from their usual celebration of the holidays. Our mission is to provide relief and smiles upon the faces of hundreds of parents who truly want to bring holiday happiness to their children.” says Pastor Eaddy.

Pastor Eaddy adds, “As a community of leaders and parents, it’s our responsibility to assist families from all walks of life. No parent could ever imagine spending the holidays without Christmas gifts for their kids under the tree.

The Church has successfully performed this mission for nearly 34 years. With the help of corporations, small business owners and the church; hundreds of children have been blessed to have wonderful holidays full of love and gifts.

Additionally, the unwavering support of church members, sponsors, business leaders, and supporters were instrumental in achieving the church's success with acquiring an array of toy options for the children. Among the various sponsors include Mr. Larry Hugguns of Riteway Construction, Kelly Speck of the Blessed Communion and the People's Community Development Association of Chicago, Comcast, and ComEd.

"It is miraculous when the hearts of children and others are at the forefront. It is quite refreshing and needed. To host this event for the 34th year is a tremendous honor, and we are so grateful to be of service to countless families. Westside residents have fought hard to survive the pandemic, rising inflation, and remained tremendously optimistic despite economic hardship. We are just as thankful for the unwavering support from donors." says First Lady Christine Eaddy.
