IN TARGETED AREA OF ENGLEWOOD
OPERATION CLEAN COMES TO CHICAGO’S 16TH WARD
WITH ALDERMAN STEPHANIE COLEMAN
CPD TO LEAD MULTI-GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY CARAVAN THROUGH SPECIFIC AREAS OF ENGLEWOOD
Alderman Stephanie Coleman is proud to announce the launch of "Operation Clean" in the 16th Ward, in partnership with The Chicago Police Department, at the intersection of 63rd and Artesian in the Chicago Lawn community.
Operation Clean is a city-wide initiative aimed at fostering safer and cleaner neighborhoods by engaging the community, local agencies, and city partners to address various issues. This collaboration involves the Department of Streets and Sanitation along with other city agencies and community organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents.
Key services and resources provided through Operation Clean include:
· Streetlight and Pothole Repairs: Addressing safety concerns by repairing broken streetlights and fixing hazardous potholes.· Building Repairs: Ensuring the structural integrity of buildings to enhance the aesthetics of the community.
· Graffiti Removal: Eliminating unwanted graffiti to beautify the neighborhood.
· Empty Lot Cleanup: Transforming neglected empty lots into green spaces or community assets.
Alderman Stephanie Coleman, a staunch advocate for the 16th Ward, expressed her enthusiasm for Operation Clean, stating, "Our community deserves clean and safe streets, and Operation Clean is an opportunity for us to work together to achieve this goal. We thank the Chicago Police Department and all city agencies involved for their commitment to improving our neighborhood."
Operation Clean in the 16th Ward is part of a city-wide effort to empower communities and residents to take pride in their surroundings and make Chicago an even better place to live.
