CUBS CHARITIES HOSTS THE 18TH ANNUAL RACE TO WRIGLEY 5K CHARITY RUN ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30
Registration is Now Open; Proceeds Will Benefit Cubs Charities' Mission to Mobilize the Power of Sport to Champion Youth, Families and Communities Across Chicago
CHICAGO—Cubs Charities will host the 18th Annual Race to Wrigley 5K Charity Run on Saturday, Sept. 30, an event that raises funds to drive Cubs Charities’ transformative work that includes sports-based youth development, strategic grantmaking and investments in safe spaces to play. Registration is now open at www.racetowrigley.com for the race. Runners will race through the Lakeview neighborhood before entering Wrigley Field, where they will run the warning track and cross the finish line just steps away from the Wrigley Field Marquee.
All runners will receive a 2023 finisher's medal and an exclusive race shirt. In-person runners will have the option to enjoy one Budweiser, Bud Light or NÜTRL (if 21+) at the official post-race sponsored bars and restaurants (valid until 1 p.m. CDT Saturday, September 30).
“This event goes beyond the race itself; it's a testament to the power of sports in transforming lives and communities,” said Alicia Gonzalez, Executive Director of Cubs Charities. “We are grateful to all the runners who consistently support Cubs Charities and we look forward to seeing you all lace up for a good cause!"
The registration fee for the in-person race is $44 through August 27th and will go up to $49 on August 28th. The registration fee is $25 for children ages 10 and under. The virtual option is $44 for both adults and children.
Proceeds from the race will benefit Cubs Charities' mission to mobilize the power of sport to champion youth, families and communities. As a Marquee sponsor of the Race to Wrigley 5K Charity Run, proceeds from personal fundraising will be donated to children and adolescents in need of behavioral health care services at Advocate Children's Hospital.
