Global Strategists Association (GSA) Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Global Strategists Association will host its 10th anniversary celebration honoring Chicagoans whose global engagements contribute to Chicago being a global city. The event will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at 4420 S. Cottage Grove Ave.
The event will also honor and celebrate Black Chicagoans who have made a global impact in Chicago and abroad. The honorees include internationally renowned education leader Adrienne Bailey, Ph.D., Veteran and Co-Founder of Leave No Veteran Behind Eli Williamson, Founder and President of Girls Like Me Project, Inc., Lakeisha Gray-Sewell, MTV News host and award-winning journalist, Dometi Pongo. The event will include Keynote Speaker Inaugural Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Ambassador Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley, Cook County Board President Tony Preckwinkle, and other elected officials.
The organization is excited to celebrate the momentous occasion but also wants to share the achievements of these leaders. “We are excited to recognize the impact of Black Chicagoans in the global community and also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Global Strategists Association, said Global Strategists Association President Appreccia Faulkner. “GSA looks forward to having ambassadors, elected officials, and other prominent leaders in the global affairs, business, NGO, in the advocacy space attend the event and continue to partner to increase the presence of Black Chicagoans in global leadership.”

Global Strategists Association (GSA) is a Chicago-based non-profit organization founded in 2013 to increase global engagement among the Black Diaspora. We promote global citizenship, prepare people for global leadership, and encourage global entrepreneurship. Below are details of GSA focus areas:
