40 Tons is an African-American, women-owned, Califorinia-based for-profit social impact organization founded by Loriel Alegrete. Its mission is to create equity within the cannabis industry by providing resources that create pathways to inclusion, including education,
training, legal advocacy and support and resume development. The organization also connects employers to diverse job seekers, which is why Green Thumb Industries wanted to partner with 40 Tons.
